THE STEP CHANGE

From executor to executive

Comparison chart of roles with their defining characteristics. The left column lists roles: The Executor, The Executive, The Recognizer, The Worker, and The Judge. The right column describes each role's key traits, such as speaking for itself, making impact, recognizing results, working harder in delays, reading the environment, and relying on judgment.

The work that made you exceptional is the work that's now holding you back. Getting to the next level isn't about doing more of it. It's a step change in how you operate.

WHO I WORK WITH

For leaders ready to make the step change

VPs and C-Suite Leaders

You're operating at the top and the next level is a different game entirely. You need sharper positioning and the executive presence to match the room you're in.

Newly promoted leaders

You just stepped up and the skills that earned you the role aren't the ones the role now demands. You want to make that shift fast, not learn it the hard way.

High performers who feel misunderstood

You deliver, but your impact isn't landing with the people who decide promotions. You're not being overlooked. You're being misunderstood, and we fix that.

Leaders navigating high-stakes transitions

A new mandate, a bigger seat, a make-or-break moment in a fast-moving company, requires the right strategy.

WHAT YOU’LL WALK AWAY WITH

Three months. A different trajectory.

Most professionals jump straight to execution. My Tell Me What To Do Method starts one step earlier with what's actually holding you back, not the symptom you walked in with. From there, we build the strategy, the narrative, and the communication that make your work impossible to miss. Three months. Applied across every direction you need to lead up, down, across, and within yourself.

A clear narrative for why you're the obvious next-level leader, not just a great executor

Executive presence and communication strategies that land in high-stakes contexts

A promotion strategy that's specific to your company, your politics, and your career

The ability to manage up, influence sideways, and make your impact legible

Know exactly what to say in your reviews, skip-level meetings, and every other moment that actually matters

ABOUT ASHLEY

I went from an IC to a VP in 5 years, I’ll show you how.

I spent 10 years in tech and went from individual contributor to VP in five years — quadrupling my income along the way. I learned the hard way that your work doesn't speak for itself. You have to.

Today I coach directors, VPs, and senior leaders at companies like Airbnb, Meta, Citi, A24, and JLL who are done letting their work speak for itself. My coaching is tactical and strategic — I help you figure out what's actually holding you back, build the right strategy against it, and stay in your corner until it works.

Real Talk - CLIENT TESTIMONIALS

frequently asked

The questions high achievers ask first

Who is this coaching for?

VPs, C-suite, senior leaders, and high performers ready to step into those roles, especially in fast-moving companies. If you're ready for a step change and willing to challenge your own assumptions to get there, this is for you.

Who isn’t this a fit for?

My coaching isn’t for everyone. If you believe the problem is mostly external — your boss, your company, your timing — this will be frustrating for you. Not because those things don't matter. They sometimes do. But my work starts with what you can control and shift right now. I'm also not a good fit if you're looking for ongoing emotional processing without a concrete strategy attached to it. My clients want clarity and a plan. If you're still at the "I just need to vent" stage, that's okay, but come back when you're ready for what comes after that.

How is this different from other types of coaching?

I'm a former tech VP, not a career theorist. My coaching is both tactical and strategic: we work to pinpoint what's actually holding you back, including the real fears and assumptions underneath it, then build a concrete strategy against that specific problem. My expertise is helping my clients unlock the right reframe and that involves less talking about feelings and conceptual theories, and more focus on changing outcomes.

What results can I expect?

Clients negotiate promotions and meaningful raises, nail high-stakes interviews, and finally get recognized as the strategic leaders they are, usually within a three-month engagement.

How long is the engagement?

The core partnership runs three months, with biweekly 60-minute sessions plus a comprehensive onboarding deep dive and assessments to tailor your plan.

How do we start?

Book a free 30-min strategy session. We'll talk through where you are and where you want to be, and decide together whether working together is the right next move.

MAKE THE CAREER CHANGES YOU DESIRE

STOP WAITING FOR SOMEONE ELSE TO NOTICE YOUR POTENTIAL

You've been doing strong work for years. You may have even been told you're strategic or leadership material. So why aren't you moving forward?

The issue isn't your performance. It's how your performance is being perceived. At a certain point in every career, expectations shift. The professionals who advance aren't necessarily doing better work than you. They've learned how to think, communicate, and connect their work to business outcomes in a way leadership recognizes as impact.

That's the step change. And it's exactly what we work on together.
